Lawson Legal Recruiters is a national legal recruiting firm specializing in permanent attorney placements at both law firms and in-house. Our recruiters are attorneys, who draw their experience from decades of practicing at the most prestigious law firms, corporations, and government agencies in the world. We provide our candidates with hands-on, personal and responsive service, and handle each resume with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.

Gayle N. Moran, Principal and Founder, graduated at the top of her class from Fordham Law School in 1992, and received her undergraduate degree with high honors from SUNY Binghamton in 1989. Gayle began her legal career as a commercial litigator with Sills Cummis — one of New Jersey’s most prominent law firms. Thereafter, Gayle went on to become a litigation partner at the national law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll (now Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney) where she practiced for more than seven years.

After retiring from the practice of law in 2003, Gayle began working as a recruiter specializing in permanent attorney placements at both law firms and in-house legal departments throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.  In this capacity, Gayle places highly qualified attorneys at all levels with both publicly traded and privately held corporations and law firms. Additionally, Gayle served as Director of Martindale-Hubbell’s Counsel to Counsel forums.  In that role, Gayle facilitated candid and intimate discussions between in-side corporate counsel and their outside law firms.  As such, Gayle maintains a keen understanding of the inside/outside counsel relationship and the demands concurrent with both roles, which is extraordinarily helpful when recruiting attorneys for either type of position.

As a recruiter, Gayle developed a high quality, purpose driven talent acquisition team that takes pride in being ambassadors for their clients, and ultimately in the success of the candidates they bring into the recruiting process. Moreover, Gayle continually meets with existing clients and industry professionals to promote stronger relationships and source outstanding candidates. With over 1000 existing clients and more than 14,000 contacts in her recruiting network, Gayle brings invaluable connections to every company she recruits for.

Lisa Goldberg Ozer, Recruiter, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She received her summa cum laude undergraduate degree from Tufts University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Following graduation from law school, Lisa practiced as a commercial litigator with Kronish, Lieb, Shainswit, Weiner and Hellman (now part of Cooley LLP). Lisa’s extensive philanthropic involvements include numerous positions within local civic and community organizations, service as the longtime chair of a regional Tufts Alumni Admissions Program Committee, and substantial participation with the Community FoodBank of NJ and the Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges.

Madison Brinnon, Director Business Development, graduated at the top of her class from Whittier College in 2017.  Madison comes to us from Cloutier Remix/Greyscale Management where she assisted in securing sponsorship and endorsement deals for the beauty talent industry. She has a passion for providing her clients with exceptional customer service that includes her personal attention to detail, impeccable communication skills, and a flair for inventive and trendsetting ideas.

Joshua Ben-Asher, Recruiting Consultant, is a former Labor & Employment attorney turned executive legal recruiter who understands the inner workings and cultures of law firms, and the need to match the right attorneys with the right firms. Josh began his legal recruiting career by working at one of the largest Executive Recruiting agencies in the world, where he was named the Rookie of the Year in 2013 among recruiters across more than 700 offices, and was consistently ranked within the top 5% of all recruiters globally.

Josh has a way of helping candidates feel comfortable expressing their goals from the initial conversation, and is extremely professional, responsive and ethical throughout the entire recruiting process. He makes sure to listen carefully to the wants, needs and career goals of candidates, and works hard to place them in an environment where they are set up to succeed. As a result, Josh has successfully placed partners, associates and groups of partners within law firms of all sizes in the Greater New York City area, and throughout the country.

Josh received his BA in Philosophy and Political Science from James Madison University in 2006, and his JD from Rutgers Law School in 2009. He resides in Bergen County, New Jersey with his wife, son and daughter, and spends much of his free time running, managing his fantasy baseball team, and rooting for the New York Yankees and JMU Dukes.
